There were two themes that took place in the story, good vs. evil and science vs. religion.
Good vs evil is the main theme in this book and also the strongest. the battle between good vs. evil is within the man himself. hyde argues about his way out the argument. he talks about evil being stronger than good but hyde at the end hyde ends up dead. you would think it would have to with discussion between him and jekyll. After all "evil is as strong as he said it was?"...
